GSA contracted with CEEPCO to provide construction services for partial depth concrete slab repair, full depth concrete slab repair, vertical/overhead concrete repair, and supplemental reinforcing steel.

CEEPCO routed and sealed slab cracks and joints, replaced perimeter caulking, re-condition level floor slab drains and ramp trench drain, and prepped slabs and elevated ramp sections and apply traffic bearing membrane.

We re-applied parking stripes and traffic markings to the garage, provided protection to existing garage utility systems, and removed concrete topping slab and waterproofing membrane, and painted the interior walls, stair landings, ramps, and hand rails of the garage.

We installed new waterproofing membrane, new perimeter membrane flashing, protection board, outside perimeter metal coping, interior perimeter metal counter flashing, new precast concrete pavers on pedestals, perimeter sealant joints, and interior signage.

CEEPCO removed and replaced deck drains and performed core drilling and the installation of new deck drains at low spots. CEEPCO also removed and replaced isolated deteriorated brick.

Design-Build Concrete Slab Repairs – E. Barrett

Scope of work

The General Services Administration retained the services of CEEPCO for design-build serves to perform full A&E design and prepare the documentation required to remove the spalling cornet at the slab, joists and beams at the three bays adjacent to the Sally Port. CEEPCO provided an analysis and a complete design, including specifications and a schedule for the repair of the slab and other structural elements affected by the cracks and water infiltration and completed construction services to the full satisfaction of GSA and their tenant.

The two main areas of this design-build project were concrete and finishing. After the 100% design was accepted and approved by the client, we started with mobilization, surface preparation, demolition, installation of reinforcement and concrete pour. Once the finished concrete slab was cured, we painted all walls and flooring in the area.

Design Build Project for Concrete repairs New Executive Office Building Parking Garage

Scope of work

GSA contracted with CEEPCO to provide design-build services to provide repairs to address all the Life Safety issues in the NEOB Parking Garage by removing all the loose concrete and patching the surface with applied mortar. The repairs also included the concrete slab and concrete encasement on the steel beam framing where deteriorated, spall concrete and repairs to strengthen exposed partitions of steel framing.

Name of project Library Stack Renovation – US Court of Military Appeals

Scope of work The General Services Administration contracted CEEPCO to design and renovate the library stack.  This design/build project included, but was not limited to, all surveys, contract drawings, specifications, and construction.  CEEPCO prepared full A&E design documents to include the main Library entrance door removal and replacement, new technical services offices and kitchenette at the east end of the stack room, new enclosed mail area at the west end of the stack room and painting, furniture and carpet throughout each area. CEEPCO removed existing interior finishes including carpeting, suspended acoustical ceiling system, gypsum board ceilings and portions of a raised floor construction and for installation of new kitchenette and mail area. CEEPCO then installed drywall, glass entry doors, gypsum board partitions, new acoustical ceilings, millwork for cabinetry, and all new appliances for the kitchenette. We provided, relocated, and installed mechanical returns and diffuses to accommodate the new room layout and provided exhaust ventilation for the new kitchenette.  The project involved installing new plumbing fixtures for the new kitchenette including sink, faucets and disposals, and installing all plumbing supply and waste piping for the new kitchenette.  CEEPCO also tied-in piping into existing adjacent plumbing supply and waste lines. Electrical work included removal and disposal of existing abandoned electrical devices and fixtures and then rewiring for the new layout room configuration. CEEPCO also provided, relocated, and installed fire alarm devices and fire suppression devices for the new room configuration.

Name of project Design-Build Strengthening Beams along 10th Floor Corridor at HUD HQ Building (Robert Weaver Building)

Scope of work

CEEPCO, under contract with GSA, was responsible for providing design-build services for concrete beam repair. The first floor of the existing building consists of exposed architectural cast-in-place concrete construction, which exhibits signs of deterioration including spalling and cracking at various locations. CEEPCO performed a structural investigation/survey related to the exposed concrete conditions and provided design and construction services for permanent repair and rehabilitation of the affected exterior elements.

We removed all ceiling tile, ceiling grid, and lights in order to perform the repair. During the repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC work, painting, and cabinetry work were all required to be performed in order to properly perform the project. After all necessary project components were completed the ceiling tile, grid, and lights were reinstalled.
